Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work On choppy waters by Richard Wane was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 660.00 (€ 966.33). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Wane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The approaching storm, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,325.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit On choppy waters von Richard Wane kam im April 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 660,00 (€ 966,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Wane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The approaching storm beobachtet, die im März 2004 für GBP 1.553,50 (€ 2.325,45) versteigert wurde.
