Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Fishing boats in a bay; and Fishing boats off the coast by Richard Wane. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,115.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Wane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The approaching storm, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,325.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing boats in a bay; and Fishing boats off the coast von Richard Wane zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.115,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Wane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The approaching storm beobachtet, die im März 2004 für GBP 1.553,50 (€ 2.325,45) versteigert wurde.
