Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Wane could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime Pictures auction, the work Unloading The Catch changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 350.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Wane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The approaching storm in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,325.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Wane konnte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Maritime Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Unloading The Catch für GBP 240,00 (€ 350,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Wane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The approaching storm im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.553,50 (€ 2.325,45).
