Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Dawn, Noon, Dusk: Paper (1), Paper (2), Paper (3) by Richard Tuttle for USD 1,900.00 (€ 1,712.79). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Tuttle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver Picture in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,424,933.30).
