A top price for Richard Patterson
In February 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale (Morning and Afternoon), which included the work American Indian by Richard Patterson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,926.62), 28% above the upper estimate. With this result, American Indian is even the most expensive work of art by Richard Patterson that we have observed at auctions so far.
