Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in London held the auction The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design, which included the work Heat by Richard Patterson. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 558.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Patterson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Indian in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,926.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heat von Richard Patterson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 558,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Patterson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Indian im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.926,62).
