This artwork by Richard Hunt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2007. In the House Sale auction, the work Large Hybrid sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,065.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wing Bloom in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 119,000.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Hunt erzielte im September 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion House Sale wurde die Arbeit Large Hybrid für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.065,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Hunt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wing Bloom im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 119.000,60).
