In the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Marlboro Country Darks sold for USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,978.13) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Hambleton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work As The World Burns - 1983 in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 474,000.00.

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Hambleton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit As The World Burns - 1983 im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 474.000,00.
