Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Dupont could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Point of Origin changed hands for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,874.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Richard Dupont have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2011 by the work Them at USD 35,000.00 (€ 26,016.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Dupont konnte im März 2012 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Under the Influence wechselte die Arbeit Point of Origin für USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.874,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Richard Dupont wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2011 die Arbeit Them mit USD 35.000,00 (€ 26.016,50).
