Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Dupont could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Art in Focus auction, the work Untitled (Hand) changed hands for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,646.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Dupont have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Them in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 26,016.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Dupont konnte im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Art in Focus wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Hand) für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.646,55) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Dupont auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Them im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 26.016,50).
