Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Zeno's Paradox by Richard Artschwager was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,651.00 (€ 1,562.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Artschwager achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior with Sideboard I in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,272,000.00 (€ 945,514.01).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Zeno's Paradox von Richard Artschwager kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.651,00 (€ 1.562,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Artschwager erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior with Sideboard I im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.272.000,00 (€ 945.514,01).
