Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Interior by Richard Artschwager was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,413.00 (€ 2,283.31), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Artschwager achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior with Sideboard I in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,272,000.00 (€ 945,514.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Interior von Richard Artschwager wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.413,00 (€ 2.283,31) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Artschwager erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior with Sideboard I im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.272.000,00 (€ 945.514,01).
