Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Veil Iv by Rashid Rana. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 180,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 182,500.00 (€ 213,010.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Rashid Rana have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2008 the work Veil #6 was auctioned for GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Veil Iv von Rashid Rana zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 182.500,00 (€ 213.010,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Rashid Rana konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2008 die Arbeit Veil #6 für GBP 325.250,00 (€ 413.233,79) versteigert.
