Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Veil I, Ii, Iii', 2004Three Chromogenic Prints by Rashid Rana was sold in the Photographies / Photographs auction at Sothebys in Paris in November 2016. The result of EUR 40,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rashid Rana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veil #6 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Veil I, Ii, Iii', 2004Three Chromogenic Prints von Rashid Rana wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Photographies / Photographs bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 40.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rashid Rana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veil #6 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.250,00 (€ 413.233,79).
