Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Anxious Men by Rashid Johnson was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 604,800.00 (€ 554,455.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rashid Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Surrender Painting "Sunshine" in November last year with an auction result of USD 3,000,000.00 (€ 2,906,131.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled Anxious Men von Rashid Johnson kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 554.455,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rashid Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Surrender Painting "Sunshine" im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.000.000,00 (€ 2.906.131,94).
