In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Raqib Shaw. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,599.55), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raqib Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,708,500.00 (€ 3,889,584.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Raqib Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.599,55) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raqib Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.708.500,00 (€ 3.889.584,22).
