Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in Brussels held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Routes, 1978 by Raoul Ubac. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 200.00 – 300.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 204.80 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Ubac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Triomphe De La Stérilité Ou Penthesilée in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,645.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Brüssel die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Routes, 1978 von Raoul Ubac zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 204,80 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Ubac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Triomphe De La Stérilité Ou Penthesilée im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.645,16).
