Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Personnage de face by Raoul Ubac for EUR 4,032.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’ at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Ubac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Triomphe De La Stérilité Ou Penthesilée in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,645.16).

Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Personnage de face von Raoul Ubac für EUR 4.032,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’ bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Ubac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Triomphe De La Stérilité Ou Penthesilée im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.645,16).
