This artwork by Raoul de Keyser achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2018. In the First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,746.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul de Keyser achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kalklijn (Chalk Line) in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 237,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raoul de Keyser erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.746,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul de Keyser erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kalklijn (Chalk Line) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 237.500,00.
