Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work NO. 1183 Mesh by Rana Begum. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 23,486.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Rana Begum have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2019 the work No. 426 was auctioned for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,534.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit NO. 1183 Mesh von Rana Begum zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 23.486,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Rana Begum konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2019 die Arbeit No. 426 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.534,82) versteigert.
