Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No. 919 Folded Grid; No. 920 Folded Grid by Rana Begum was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,585.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rana Begum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No. 426 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,534.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit No. 919 Folded Grid; No. 920 Folded Grid von Rana Begum wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.585,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rana Begum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No. 426 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.534,82).
