Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No. 288 by Rana Begum was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,253.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rana Begum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No. 426, which sold at auction in June 2019 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,534.82).

Die Arbeit No. 288 von Rana Begum kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.253,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rana Begum mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No. 426 beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.534,82) versteigert wurde.
