Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Pink) by Ralph Rumney for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,513.18). This price was achieved in the auction Made in Britain at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ralph Rumney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tachiste Painting - Red, White, Blue, which sold at auction in April this year for GBP 14,025.00 (€ 15,983.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Pink) von Ralph Rumney für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.513,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ralph Rumney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tachiste Painting - Red, White, Blue beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für GBP 14.025,00 (€ 15.983,93) versteigert wurde.
