In December 2013 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects, which included the work Edolo by Ralph Rumney. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ralph Rumney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tachiste Painting - Red, White, Blue in April this year with an auction result of GBP 14,025.00 (€ 15,983.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects durch, in der auch die Arbeit Edolo von Ralph Rumney zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralph Rumney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tachiste Painting - Red, White, Blue im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.025,00 (€ 15.983,93).
