Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ralph Humphrey was sold in the The Collection of Paul F. Walter auction at Christies in New York in September 2017. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,386.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Humphrey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A/60-61 in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 237,500.00 (€ 201,049.69).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ralph Humphrey wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.386,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Humphrey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A/60-61 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 201.049,69).
