Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Distracting Distance, Chapter 16 by R. H. Quaytman. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,863.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by R. H. Quaytman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constructivismes, Chapter 13 in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 815,677.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Distracting Distance, Chapter 16 von R. H. Quaytman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.863,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von R. H. Quaytman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constructivismes, Chapter 13 im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 578.500,00 (€ 815.677,74).
