Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dictionary Series — Mountain by Qiu Zhijie was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,014.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Zhijie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 30 Letters To Qiu Jiawa L22 - Beyond sky there is sky, within the sea there is sea L23 - An exit from a tunnel is not always only where the light is L24 - In their contests, you do not have to become a winner in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 182,785.03).

Die Arbeit Dictionary Series — Mountain von Qiu Zhijie kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.014,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Zhijie erzielen.
