Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Constellation - Night Of September 16 (Set Of Five) by Qiu Zhijie for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,636.59). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art – Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Qiu Zhijie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 30 Letters To Qiu Jiawa L22 - Beyond sky there is sky, within the sea there is sea L23 - An exit from a tunnel is not always only where the light is L24 - In their contests, you do not have to become a winner in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 182,785.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Constellation - Night Of September 16 (Set Of Five) von Qiu Zhijie für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.636,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Zhijie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 30 Letters To Qiu Jiawa L22 - Beyond sky there is sky, within the sea there is sea L23 - An exit from a tunnel is not always only where the light is L24 - In their contests, you do not have to become a winner im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 182.785,03).
