Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bill Board-1 by Qiu Zhijie was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,606.68). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Zhijie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 30 Letters To Qiu Jiawa L22 - Beyond sky there is sky, within the sea there is sea L23 - An exit from a tunnel is not always only where the light is L24 - In their contests, you do not have to become a winner in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 182,785.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bill Board-1 von Qiu Zhijie im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.606,68) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Zhijie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 30 Letters To Qiu Jiawa L22 - Beyond sky there is sky, within the sea there is sea L23 - An exit from a tunnel is not always only where the light is L24 - In their contests, you do not have to become a winner im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 182.785,03).
