Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qiu Shihua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 23,643.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qiu Shihua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wooded Pasture in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Shihua erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 23.643,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wooded Pasture im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55).
