This work without title by Qiu Shihua was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 300,000.00 (€ 29,865.72), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qiu Shihua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wooded Pasture, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Qiu Shihua wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 29.865,72) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wooded Pasture beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55) versteigert wurde.
