In April 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China, which included the work Landscape In Pink by Qiu Shihua. The result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 8,690.37) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Shihua achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wooded Pasture in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape In Pink von Qiu Shihua zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 8.690,37) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wooded Pasture im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55).
