Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Monkey No.2 by Qiu Jiongjiong for HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,721.43). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Ink Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 45,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Qiu Jiongjiong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apprentice in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,274.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Monkey No.2 von Qiu Jiongjiong für HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.721,43) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 45.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Jiongjiong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Apprentice im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.274,68).
