Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 POLY held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Unperplexed Dick Kids No.6 by Qiu Jiongjiong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,292.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Jiongjiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Apprentice in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,274.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte POLY die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unperplexed Dick Kids No.6 von Qiu Jiongjiong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.292,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Jiongjiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Apprentice im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.274,68).
