Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Excursion No. 1, 2020 by Qiu Jiongjiong was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,479.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qiu Jiongjiong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apprentice, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,274.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Excursion No. 1, 2020 von Qiu Jiongjiong wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.479,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Qiu Jiongjiong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apprentice beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.274,68) versteigert wurde.
