Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Melintas Angkor Wat (Passing through Angkor Wat) by Pupuk DP was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 48,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,454.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pupuk DP - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ekspresi Turki, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
