Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work New York in Black and White by Pupuk DP. The price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,410.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pupuk DP - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ekspresi Turki, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit New York in Black and White von Pupuk DP zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.410,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 65.000,00 – 85.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pupuk DP mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ekspresi Turki beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31) versteigert wurde.
