This artwork by Pupuk DP achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Ekspresi kontemporer, Paris (The contemporary expression, Paris) sold for HKD 199,500.00 (€ 16,424.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pupuk DP; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ekspresi Turki sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pupuk DP erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Ekspresi kontemporer, Paris (The contemporary expression, Paris) für HKD 199.500,00 (€ 16.424,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pupuk DP; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ekspresi Turki im Oktober 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31).
