In April 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Interior Buddha by Pupuk DP. The result of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 3,296.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pupuk DP have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ekspresi Turki in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior Buddha von Pupuk DP zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 3.296,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pupuk DP auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ekspresi Turki im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31).
