Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Prosper Marilhat could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Landscape With Palm Trees And Mountainous Vista changed hands for USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,654.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prosper Marilhat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travellers at an Oasis in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 83,650.00 (€ 120,209.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
