Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Portia Zvavahera achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March last year. In the New Now auction, the work Ndapfugama Wani sold for USD 163,800.00 (€ 147,660.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Portia Zvavahera; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Arising from the Unknown sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 181,885.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Portia Zvavahera erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Ndapfugama Wani für USD 163.800,00 (€ 147.660,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Portia Zvavahera; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Arising from the Unknown im Oktober 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 181.885,93).
