The work Zvandiswededza (It Has Drawn Me Closer) by Portia Zvavahera was auctioned at Christies in London in October last year. It achieved a price of GBP 151,200.00 (€ 176,146.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Portia Zvavahera; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Arising from the Unknown sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 181,885.93).

Die Arbeit Zvandiswededza (It Has Drawn Me Closer) von Portia Zvavahera kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 151.200,00 (€ 176.146,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Portia Zvavahera; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Arising from the Unknown im Oktober 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 181.885,93).
