Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Dancers by Popo Iskandar was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,674.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Popo Iskandar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cockerel, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,661.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Dancers von Popo Iskandar kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.674,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Popo Iskandar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cockerel beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.661,80) versteigert wurde.
