Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Pope.L could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Failure Drawing No. 1001: Boat Scene changed hands for USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,180.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Pope.L achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,875.00 (€ 25,976.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Pope.L konnte im März 2021 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Failure Drawing No. 1001: Boat Scene für USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.180,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Pope.L erzielen.
