Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Christies held the auction Julians Park and Six Private Collections: Live, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Pale Gold Dress by Philippe Mercier. The price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,761.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Mercier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegories Of The Five Senses: Hearing, Smell, Sight, Taste And Touch in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 278,658.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Julians Park and Six Private Collections: Live durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Pale Gold Dress von Philippe Mercier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.761,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Mercier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allegories Of The Five Senses: Hearing, Smell, Sight, Taste And Touch im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 386.500,00 (€ 278.658,98).
