Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Allegory Of Painting by Philippe Mercier was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2018. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,387.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Mercier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegories Of The Five Senses: Hearing, Smell, Sight, Taste And Touch in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 278,658.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Allegory Of Painting von Philippe Mercier wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.387,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Mercier erzielen.
