The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,880.30) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Mercier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegories Of The Five Senses: Hearing, Smell, Sight, Taste And Touch in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 278,658.98).
