Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a boy, full-length, in a blue coat, with a spinning top on a terrace by Philippe Mercier for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,160.30). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Mercier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegories Of The Five Senses: Hearing, Smell, Sight, Taste And Touch in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 278,658.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a boy, full-length, in a blue coat, with a spinning top on a terrace von Philippe Mercier für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.160,30) erwerben.
