Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Models In The Studio by Philip Pearlstein was sold in the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash: Featuring Artists of the South of France auction at Bonhams in New York in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,147.50 (€ 972.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Pearlstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Model With Empire State Building in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 130,791.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Models In The Studio von Philip Pearlstein wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash: Featuring Artists of the South of France bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.147,50 (€ 972,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
