Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Mrs Winfield Sifton, née Jean Gazlay Donaldson by Philip Alexius de László was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2021. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,727.07) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Alexius de László achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mrs Adrian van Montagu, née Anne Mabel Olivia Trouton in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 325,017.81).
